Bhd  and its affiliates ( “Akass Group” or “we” ) provides its content on its websites or applications that post a link to this Terms of Use (the “Site”) subject to the following terms and conditions (the “Terms”). Our Rules & Regulations

These Rules (including our Privacy Policy) govern the use of www.akass.group and set out the terms of the contract between Akass Group (“us/we”) and each User.

A User can apply to register with Akass Group by filling out the registration form and submitting it online. Each User can then use Akass Group to find useful information about using our services.

If you apply to register with Akass Group, you accept these rules. Our Privacy Policy (which is part of these Rules) sets out the information that we will collect about you and how your information will be used and who it may be shared with. We will comply with our Privacy Policy – every user of this site should read it carefully.

If a User thinks an unauthorised person has become aware of any User password, they should contact Akass Group immediately. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorised activity on www.akass.group. We may remove any Registered User from the www.akass.group at any time and for any reason at our absolute discretion. We may also, on notifying the Registered User, immediately suspend or terminate the rights of any Registered User, if they breach these Rules, if we reasonably believe that they have acted in a manner not permitted by these Rules, if there is any theft from or misconduct in connection with us, if they supply false or misleading information to us, or if they are abusive or offensive to any member of our staff or other Registered User.

A Registered User can close his/her/their Akass Group’s Usership at any time by notifying us.

If a Registered User’s membership is closed his/her/their rights to access any aspect of Akass Group services are lost. We may make changes to these Rules and will give the Registered User as much notice as we reasonably can.

We may suspend or terminate the website and/or Akass Group’s use of the Website but will give as much notice as we reasonably can before we do so. If this happens all Registered Userships will be suspended or terminated.

Akass Group tries to keep www.akass.group safe for all members. It is prudent to make sure you know some examples of what keeping the website safe really means: You will not send or otherwise post unauthorised commercial communications (such as spam) on www.akass.group. You will not upload viruses or other malicious code. You will not post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence. You will not offer any contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes (“promotion”) on www.akass.group without our prior written consent. You will not use www.akass.group to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory. You will not do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working of www.akass.group, such as a denial-of-service attack. You will not facilitate or encourage any violations of these Rules.

Our only responsibilities with respect to Akass Group are set out in these Rules which are subject to English law and/or the laws of the United Kingdom. Any dispute as to the Rules and/or its application is to first be submitted to an appointed mediator as nominated by Akass Group prior to any legal action being taken in the competent and/or relevant Court in the United Kingdom. 

These Rules prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. We may record calls to check the quality of our services or for training, audit, or security purposes.

When accessing or making use of any part of akass.group you may not:

  • Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, profane or otherwise objectionable information of any kind, including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any national or international law;
  • Post or transmit any information or software which contains a virus, worm, trojan horse or other harmful component;
  • Interfere with the functioning of akass.group or restrict or inhibit any other user from using  akass group;
  • Post, publish, transmit, reproduce, distribute or exploit any information, software or other material obtained through akass.group for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Akass Group;
  • Post or upload content on akass.group, in which you don’t own the respective rights. 

You hereby unreservedly indemnify Akass Group for any costs or damages that Akass Group incurs as the result of any such inappropriate content per the above being uploaded by you.

ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DAMAGE THIS SITE OR UNDERMINE ITS OPERATION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL OR CIVIL LAWS. 

AKASS GROUP RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE LEGAL TO ANY AND/OR TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF ACTION AGAINST ANY SUCH PERSON.

Clients receiving services from Akass Conflict Advisory Group UK Ltd and Akass & Associates Sdn. Bhd. ( also known as Akass Group ), agree to comply with and bound by all of our professional  engagement and consultation, safety and security rules, code of conduct and all other rules, regulations, policies and orders of Akass Group [ as listed below].The breach of any rule stated below may result in dismissal from a case engagement and/or consultation without refund of the consultation fee. 

The breach of any professional engagement rule (a non-exhaustive list is provided) as stated below may result in dismissal from the consultation, discussion or meetings at the absolute discretion of the employee, consultant and/or agent of Akass Group. Any clients who breaks the law or displays aggressive, intimidating or racist behaviour will face instant dismissal. Should a client face instant dismissal, the client will no longer be entitle to any further professional engagement and/or consultation with immediate effect. No refund will be made on the professional engagement and/or consultation fee.

  1. Any client who breaks the law or displays aggressive, intimidating, or racist behaviour.
  2. All damage to property, equipment and rooms will be charged to the client.
  3. Gratuitous or wilful damage, theft or suspected theft of office or premise property, public property or other clients’ property may result in dismissal from professional engagement and/or the consultation.
  4. Consumption or possession of alcohol by clients of any age is not permitted and will result in dismissal from the professional engagement and/or consultation.
  5. Drug-taking or possession of drugs including Psychoactive Substances (in the UK formally known as legal highs) will result in instant dismissal from the professional engagement and/or consultation.
  6. Smoking, e-cigarette smoking, and vaping is not permitted by any client within the office premise.
  7. Racist or intimidating behaviour towards another client or member of staff will result in dismissal from the professional engagement and/or consultation.
  8. Clients are expected to attend all consultation sessions provided on time unless agreed in advance with a member of Akass Group staff.
  9. Should a client wish to cancel a consultation sessions early, the Consultant/or Akass Group professional must give their consent for this in writing.
  10. Personal mobile phones should be turned off during all scheduled consulations, discussions and meetings unless otherwise instructed and/or permitted by a member of Akass Group staff.
  11. Clients and/or their representatives should not attempt to discover or contact the mobile phone or personal email addresses or social media accounts of the opponent parties.
  12. Where consultations are held virtually (online), clients should endeavour to avoid having their consultation session in an intimate, closed setting, such as their personal bedroom, and should keep a blurred or neutral background.

Clients attending the Akass Groups’ Professional Engagement and/or Consultation and/or discussion and/or meeting sessions are additionally bound by the rules and policies as outlined by the Akass Group Professional assigned for that case.

Please refer to separate terms and conditions, as outlined in the Akass Groups’ Expert Support Service contract that each client signs on initiation of the Professional Engagement of Akass Groups’ Expert Support Service sessions.

Anyone who purchases a product or service from Akass Group, either via the website, www.akass.group, email, telephone or in person, agrees to adhere to the following refund and cancellation policy. 

Akass Groups’ Event & Seminar 

Please refer to separate terms and conditions, as outlined in the Akass Groups’ Event and Seminar contract that each client signs on initiation of the event and seminar.

If a client wishes to cancel a place at an event or seminar run by Akass Group, the client must give Akass Group at least 14 working days’ notice of the booked event.

If a client cancels between 14 working days and 72 hours of the event, 50% of the minimum agreed fee must be paid to Akass Group. If a client cancels within 72 hours of the event, the full minimum agreed fee must be paid to Akass Group.

Akass Group Private Consultations

If a client wishes to cancel a Private Consultation, the client must give Akass Group at least 48-hours’ notice. If a client cancels within the 48-hour period, the full fee of the Private Consultation must be paid and/or will be forfeited to Akass Group.

Akass Group Private Discussion & Meeting 

If a client wishes to cancel a private discussion / meeting, the client must give Akass Group at least 14-days’ notice. If a client cancels within the 14-day period, the full payment/charges of the case must be paid to and/or will be forfeited to Akass Group.

Booked Events

If a client wishes to cancel a discussion and meeting at the agreed Venue/Day, the client must give Akass Group at least 72 hours’ notice of the booked event. In the event the Client has received the refund of a place, the repurchase of a place with a discount code will not be permitted.

If a client cancels within the 72-hour notice period, the full case fee agreed at the time of booking of the discussion/meeting Venue/Day must be paid to Akass Group.

Case Documents &/ Reports

On receipt of a PDF copy of one of our Case Documents and/or Reports, the case Documents and/or Reports are non-refundable.

Refunds

All refunds will be processed within 30 days of being received by Akass Group. The period in which the refund (if any) will be  paid to the Customer/Client will depend on a case by case and/or jurisdiction basis.
